A phone survey by AAA shows that drivers are still feeling the effects of the poor economy, with one in eight respondents stating they would be unable to pay an auto repair bill of $1,000, and a full quarter of respondents saying the same about a "significant" repair bill of $2,000. Furthermore, one in four said they were putting off necessary repairs and maintenance due to financial reasons -- a potentially costly move if neglecting those minor repairs causes further, and more expensive, damage.
