Tell Me Your Story Story | Articles Advance

Stories have been the way things and information has been passed down throughout the years. As you consider the stories in your family that are ordinarily told and retold when the members of your family are in touch with each other, there are and will be those you need to hear again and some that embarrass you each and every time you hear them. You know how your family members delight in reminding you of those stories laughing at your embarrassment.

Hence now it can be time to take one of those moments and get creative with it so it changes from shaming to entertaining. Some of the funniest comedy skits have come out of those actual scenarios you might have experienced.

Write out what you can recall about the situation. Interview other family members about what they remember about the event and add that to your collection. See whether buddies of the family who could have been present remember any of the details. As you?ll discover, everyone will remember the event in an other way. Now it is time to capture as many collective details as you can.

Next, see if you can do a creative embellishment of the situation and use things that occurred to you that actually were funny and see if any of those elements can be added to this story. Keep adding and tweaking till when you examined the story it looks entertaining to you and no longer humiliating.

At your next family event, read the most recent version to your relatives and get their feedback. They might be able to add new points of view you had not even thought of adding. Quickly you can be telling your new story and what used to be uncomfortable to you can bring you great pleasure as well as tons of laughter. The great news is that what your relatives will now remember is the new improved version and you can breathe a sigh of relief the original story has been replaced.
